John is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law who was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984. He is a member of The Advocates’ Society, the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers’ Association, the Canadian Defence Lawyers’ Association, and the Medico-Legal Society. John focuses on the defence of claims involving municipalities, casualty claims and errors and omissions cases. In addition, accident benefit and loss transfer cases make up a large portion of his practice. He’s been lead counsel in numerous trials in Ontario and appeals at the Court of Appeal. He has acted as counsel at hearings before the Financial Services Commission, the Appeals Tribunal of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and at private arbitrations.
